‘Hope Shines Through The Haar’ is the new single from Gulp. The Scottish three-piece create folk-leaning psych-pop, filled with synths and atmosphere. There is both tension and optimism in their latest track, which places Lindsey Leven’s voice above an accompaniment built on swirling, spacious textures and warm, melodic guitars. “I couldn’t ignore the history we are living through whilst writing the lyrics for this album, even if they exist mainly as almost subliminal in the background,” the band says. “‘Haar’ is a Scottish word for sea mist. We get a lot of it where we live. If we can all look out for each other, we can look for that glimmer through the Haar.
